Cohoes, NY

Cohoes is a small city in the Capital Region of New York, at the Mohawk River near its meeting with the Hudson. Cohoes Falls has long been the city's defining natural landmark, known even before the area was heavily settled. The city later grew with canals, mills, and water-powered industry, leaving behind older streets, brick buildings, and several National Register sites.
