Colony is a city in Ozark Township, Anderson County, Kansas, United States. The 2020 census counted 381 residents. Colony got its start in the year 1872 following construction of the railroad through that territory. Colony was named for a colony from Ohio and Indiana, which settled in the neighborhood. The district high school is Crest High School. Colony makes sense once you see how its past, landscape, and current gathering spots overlap.
