About Commerce

Commerce is a small Los Angeles County city southeast of downtown Los Angeles, built around industry, warehouses, freeways, and regional commerce. The Los Angeles River runs nearby, and the area was once part of Rancho San Antonio. Today the city is better known for job centers, freight movement, Commerce Casino, and the Citadel Outlets than for a traditional residential downtown. Commerce is compact and heavily urban, with a workday population and transportation role much larger than its resident count suggests.
