Conehatta, MS

Conehatta is a quiet, close-knit rural community tucked into the pine woods of Newton County on the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians reservation. Named after nearby Conehatta Creek, the area offers scenic country roads, plenty of open green space, and rich cultural roots. It is one of several reservation communities in east-central Mississippi where Choctaw heritage and relaxed southern living naturally blend together.

For families with school-age kids, education options include both the Newton County School District and the Choctaw Tribal School System, while the local Boys & Girls Club gives neighborhood youth a welcoming spot for after-school activities.
