Congers, NY

Congers is a Rockland County hamlet near the Hudson River and Rockland Lake State Park. It was once known as Cedar Grove Corner and later Waldberg, a German name meaning forest mountain, which fits the wooded, hilly setting. Rockland Lake State Park remains one of the area's defining landmarks and a local recreation hub.
