Connellsville is a city in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, situated along the Youghiogheny River within the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Founded in 1793 by Captain Zachariah Connell at the historic Stewart's Crossing where General Braddock's army marched, the community of approximately 6,849 is served by the Connellsville Area School District for education.
