Coolidge, AZ

Coolidge is a Pinal County city best known as the home of Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, which preserves a major Hohokam compound and gives the city unusual historic weight. The modern economy was long tied to mining and cotton, and the city still feels connected to the agricultural desert between Phoenix and Tucson. Central Arizona College and the Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology add an education presence. Coolidge is modest in scale, but its Hohokam history makes it stand out.
