Cove, AR

Cove is a quiet mountain town of around 300 residents along U.S. 71 in western Arkansas, about fifteen miles south of Mena. Life here moves at an easy, rural pace, framed by the pine-covered hills of the Ouachita Mountains. Originally built around the area's timber and railroad boom in the early 1900s, today's Cove is a peaceful home base for people who want acreage, mountain scenery, and plenty of elbow room without being cut off from nearby services.

Cossatot River High School sits right along the highway and serves as a natural gathering point for local sports and family events. You can take care of everyday essentials in town at Cove Hardware, the local library, and a couple of quick convenience stops, while nearby Mena handles larger grocery runs, healthcare, and dining. With the Cossatot River and Ouachita National Forest right in your backyard, Cove is ideal if you are looking for outdoor recreation, scenic views, and a grounded country community.
