About Covington
Covington is a city and the parish seat of St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, situated at the confluence of the Bogue Falaya and Tchefuncte rivers. Established around 1800 during the British West Florida period, the city has a population of approximately 11,600. The Covington trailhead marks the start of the Tammany Trace, a thirty-one-mile paved rails-to-trails path that connects the community to Mandeville and Slidell. Covington is also home to major businesses, including the Zen-Noh Grain Corporation.
