Craig, AK

Craig is the largest town on Prince of Wales Island, tucked into the coast of Southeast Alaska about fifty miles northwest of Ketchikan. Home to around a thousand residents, it serves as the main commercial hub for the surrounding island communities. The town began in the early 1900s as a fish saltery named after founder Craig Miller, built on coastal land shaped by a long history of Haida heritage. Today, it offers a tight-knit community surrounded by temperate rainforest and quiet saltwater bays.
