Craigsville, WV

Craigsville sits along the quiet ridges of Nicholas County, positioned right between Summersville and Richwood along Route 55. The community actually started down by the creek around the 1852 Beaver Mill, where local families gathered to grind grain and run their daily errands. As paved roads were built across higher ground during the early 1900s, businesses and mail routes followed the new highway uphill, turning Craigsville into the main local gathering spot for the area.

Today, Craigsville provides a relaxed rural setting with easy access to neighboring towns.
