Crenshaw, MS

Crenshaw is a quiet Delta community straddling the border of Panola and Quitman counties in northwest Mississippi. The town got its start in the nineteenth century with the arrival of the railroad, growing into a trade center for area farmers and merchants. Today, Crenshaw retains that traditional rural character, bordered by sprawling fields of cotton, soybeans, and corn.

Because Crenshaw spans two counties, daily logistics depend on where you live. Most of the town sits in Panola County, where younger children attend Crenshaw Elementary right in town before moving on to middle and high schools in nearby Como and Sardis, while the Quitman County section is served by Quitman County schools.
