About Crenshaw
Crenshaw is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Snyder Township, Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. The 2010 census counted 468 residents. Crenshaw is approximately 2 miles east of the borough of Brockway on U.S. Route 219. The railroad was extended to Crenshaw around 1882. That mix gives Crenshaw a clear local shape within Pennsylvania, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present. A post office was established at Crenshaw in 1886, and remained in operation until 1967.
