About Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach is an unincorporated community and census-designated place on the Arizona side of Lake Havasu in western Mohave County. Desert Hills borders it to the south, and Lake Havasu City is about seven miles farther south. The settlement sits within the long Colorado River corridor that forms the Arizona-California boundary in this part of the lower river. BLM maps place Crystal Beach within the Lake Havasu Field Office, so the surrounding geography includes public desert land as well as the residential community.

School-aged residents are in Lake Havasu Unified School District, with Lake Havasu High School serving the wider area. Daily orientation runs toward Lake Havasu City for larger-scale services and toward the river and lake for boating, shoreline access, and desert recreation. The region’s map is unusually linear: homes and roads sit between the water and open desert, with California across the Colorado River and Lake Havasu City providing the nearest larger center. Crystal Beach functions as a small river-lake community inside a much bigger public-land and recreation landscape.
