Cunard, WV

Cunard is a quiet, rural community tucked into the hills about five miles southeast of Fayetteville. Like much of the New River Gorge area, it got its start as a bustling coal camp in the early 1900s. Today, it has fewer than a hundred residents and offers a peaceful, wooded setting right beside national park trails and a popular whitewater river launch.
