Dallesport, WA

Dallesport is a quiet community tucked along the Washington side of the Columbia River, sitting directly across the water from The Dalles, Oregon. With around 1,300 residents, it offers a laid-back, open feel with sweeping views of the Columbia River Gorge and easy access to the shoreline. Highway 14 runs right past town, making it easy to head west toward White Salmon or east toward Maryhill.

Day-to-day living here is closely tied to its neighbor across the bridge. While local kids attend school in the Lyle School District and county services handle the basics, most residents take a quick drive into The Dalles for groceries, healthcare, dining, and jobs. It makes for a convenient spot if you want scenic, uncrowded Gorge living while keeping everyday necessities only a few minutes away.
