Danville, VT

Danville is the primary village and census-designated place within the town of Danville in Caledonia County, Vermont. The village had 385 residents in the 2020 census, while the larger town counted 2,335. Danville was established by the Vermont Legislature in 1786 and named for the French cartographer Jean Baptiste Bourguignon d’Anville. U.S. Route 2 and Vermont Route 15 connect the village with St. Johnsbury and the surrounding hill towns, while Joe’s Brook and Joe’s Pond drain toward the Passumpsic River.
