Delaware Water Gap, PA

Delaware Water Gap is a Monroe County borough of roughly three miles of roads, sitting where the Delaware River cuts through the mountains and gives the borough its name. Founded in 1793, it now sits inside the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, with the Appalachian Trail passing through town before crossing into New Jersey. I-80 and the Lackawanna Corridor use the same natural break, so this is a place where hikers, river travelers, and interstate traffic all meet.
