About Dellwood

Dellwood is a north St. Louis County city of 4,914 residents in the 2020 census, mostly residential between Chambers Road and I-270, with businesses along West Florissant Avenue. The city shares the Riverview Gardens School District across most of its area, with smaller sections in Ferguson-Florissant and Hazelwood. West Florissant is the practical spine, tying houses, stores, schools, and the recreation center into the wider north-county road network. Dellwood runs three parks—Dellwood City Park, Al Nicolai Park, and Bon Oak Park—and the recreation center on West Florissant Avenue carries much of the local programming.

Inside are an indoor soccer arena, pool, computer lab, fitness room, game room, and spaces for resident activities. The center is also used for classes and rentals. Recent city programming has included pickleball, summer camp, National Night Out, and a gaming room added in 2025. Dellwood's local shape is a residential city organized around a commercial corridor, with parks and recreation close to home and the St. Louis region beginning at its edges.
