About Delta

Delta is a home rule city and the county seat of Delta County, Colorado, situated at the confluence of the Uncompahgre and Gunnison rivers. Established in 1828 as Fort Uncompahgre, a trading post for the Ute people, the city of approximately 9,400 hosts the headquarters of the Grand Mesa, Gunnison, and Uncompahgre National Forests. The community is home to the Technical College of the Rockies and is served by Delta County Joint School District 50-J.
