About Depew

Depew is a village in Erie County, New York, situated eleven miles east of downtown Buffalo within the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area. Straddling the boundary between the towns of Lancaster and Cheektowaga, the community of approximately 15,000 was incorporated in 1894 and named after investor Chauncey Depew. Zoned across multiple local school districts, including the Depew Union Free School District, the village offers a nearby suburban environment.
