Dillon, CO

Set at over 9,000 feet in Summit County, Dillon is a scenic mountain town wrapped around the shores of Dillon Reservoir. Home to just over a thousand year-round residents, it has one of Colorado's most interesting backstories: the original 19th-century settlement was completely relocated to higher ground in the early 1960s to make way for the reservoir dam. Today, the town overlooks the water with a laid-back village core, local restaurants, and quick connections to neighboring Silverthorne and Frisco.
