About Dillon

Dillon is a home-rule town in Summit County beside Dillon Dam and its reservoir, about ten miles west of the Continental Divide. The original settlement was built as a stage stop and trading post on the northeast side of the Snake River. The town took its name from prospector Tom Dillon.
