Dobbs Ferry, NY

Dobbs Ferry is a Westchester County village on the Hudson River, part of New York's river-town commuter belt. Its name comes from the Dobbs family, early ferry operators whose crossings helped tie the area to the river. The village has a more diverse, village-centered feel than some nearby suburbs, with recreation programs based out of the Embassy Community Center and local access to parks, schools, and Metro-North commuting. Dobbs Ferry is compact, historic, and closely connected to the lower Hudson landscape.
