Dodson Branch, TN

Dodson Branch is a Jackson County CDP and unincorporated community in the Highland Rim, sitting between Gainesboro, Cookeville, and Livingston. The most visible institution is Dodson Branch School, built in 1954 as a four-room schoolhouse and expanded as the area grew. Additions in 1998 and 2011 brought the building to its current scale, but the basic local role has stayed the same. Dodson Branch is a rural community without a formal town center in the usual sense; its name belongs to the branch roads, scattered homes, and a school that has remained part of the area's daily map.
