About Douglass

Located in Butler County just southeast of Wichita, Douglass offers a relaxed, small-town setting with plenty of classic Kansas character. Founded in 1869 by Joseph Douglass (who had the misfortune of being shot by a local chicken thief), the community grew up around the railroad and local farming.
