Dovesville, SC

Dovesville is a small, quiet community in Darlington County, tucked into the Pee Dee region of northeastern South Carolina. Set along U.S. 52 and U.S. 401, it sits midway between Society Hill and Darlington. The town got its start in the 1850s when the Cheraw and Darlington Railroad built a depot on Daniel Dove’s land. That busy farm-and-rail stop eventually grew into a close-knit rural neighborhood that still carries the Dove family name.

With around 800 residents, Dovesville offers plenty of open space and a relaxed, slow-paced lifestyle.
