Doylestown is a hilltop village in Wayne County, Ohio, situated thirteen miles southwest of Akron. Founded in 1827 by William Doyle and historically developing as a nineteenth-century coal mining and agricultural center, the community of approximately 3,048 is served by the Chippewa Local School District for public education locally.
