Drum Point, MD

Tucked into southern Calvert County where the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay, Drum Point is a relaxed coastal community surrounded by water and quiet woods. What started as a summer getaway in the late 1940s has grown into a welcoming year-round neighborhood of around a thousand homes. Residents enjoy private community perks, including sandy beaches along the bay, a boat launch on Mill Creek, and small freshwater lakes for kayaking and fishing.

The neighborhood is maintained by an active property owners' association that looks after the local roads, beaches, and clubhouse. Families are served by Calvert County public schools, while groceries, local restaurants, and the boardwalk are just minutes away in Lusby and Solomons. With its location right near the bridge, Drum Point is also a convenient spot for commuters heading across the river to Naval Air Station Patuxent River.
