Dryville, PA

Set in the rolling hills of Berks County, Dryville is a peaceful rural spot in Rockland Township, just a quick drive south of Lyons. Surrounded by the woods and farmlands of the South Mountains, it offers a quiet setting defined by scenic backroads and Bieber Creek. The community originally gathered around Christ Mertz Lutheran Church back in the 1740s, and the historic church grounds still anchor the area today.

The village earned its name in the mid-1800s from a local postmaster, keeping much of that easygoing, historic atmosphere intact. Since Dryville is a small country hamlet, daily life is relaxed, private, and closely tied to the natural landscape. Residents enjoy wide-open scenery right outside their doors, along with easy access to nearby towns like Kutztown and Fleetwood for groceries, local dining, and weekend errands.
