Dubach, LA

Dubach is a quiet small town nestled in the rolling green hills of Lincoln Parish, just north of Ruston. It got its start as a bustling sawmill hub along the railroad around the turn of the twentieth century, and that relaxed, rural character remains strong today. The countryside surrounding town is dotted with pine timber, cattle pastures, poultry farms, and the peach orchards and watermelon patches North Louisiana is famous for.

The town is widely known for its classic dogtrot architecture, featuring historic homes with open central breezeways designed to catch a summer draft. You can stop by the 1883 Colvin House right in town or explore the nearby Autrey House, the oldest standing structure in the parish. Community efforts have also brought new life to Main Street with the revival of the historic GEM Theater, giving locals a charming venue for movies and events. It is a peaceful, friendly corner of the region with deep roots and plenty of small-town appeal.
