Ducor, CA

Ducor is a Tulare County census-designated place on the eastern side of California’s southern San Joaquin Valley, where farm country meets the lower foothills. The name is a shortened form of Dutch Corners, a reference to several early settler families who were German; in that older usage, “Dutch” came from deutsch, meaning German. The name preserves a small piece of the community’s settlement history even as the surrounding landscape has been shaped by roads, irrigation, orchards, and valley agriculture.

Most local activity is tied to the working landscape and to nearby communities in the Porterville and Terra Bella area.
