About Dunmore
Dunmore is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, located immediately adjacent to the city of Scranton. Settled in 1835 and incorporated in 1862, the community of approximately 14,200 historically grew as a major anthracite coal mining and brick manufacturing center. Situated on the western slopes of the Moosic Mountains, the borough features established residential neighborhoods and is served by the Dunmore School District.
