Eagle Pass, TX

Eagle Pass is a Maverick County city on the Rio Grande, directly across from Piedras Negras, Mexico. It was the first American settlement on the Rio Grande, and that border position still defines the city. Retail, import-export, manufacturing, and small businesses are major pieces of the local economy, supported by routes such as U.S. 57 and 277.
