East Brewton, AL

East Brewton is an Escambia County city about ten miles from the Alabama–Florida line. It was settled around the same time as nearby Brewton and was named for Benjamin Bruton, an early settler whose surname shaped both place names. The city sits in southwest Alabama’s pine-and-timber country, close enough to Brewton that the directional name does the work.
