East Durham, NY

East Durham is a Greene County hamlet and census-designated place within the town of Durham, where the 2020 census counted 466 residents. Set in the Catskills at about 535 feet above sea level, it sits along Route 145 amid the hills of upstate New York. The community is known for its Irish heritage, and Irish-American visitors have made it a gathering place for generations. Route 145 leads toward the festival grounds, country inns, and the summer places that carry the Irish Catskills tradition.
