About East Prospect

East Prospect sits on the west bank of the Susquehanna River opposite Washington Boro, at the head of the Conejohela Valley and the Lake Clarke region. Lower Windsor Township surrounds the borough, so the local map is defined by a small municipal boundary set within a larger river-and-township landscape. The borough is part of the York-Hanover metro area, with the Susquehanna providing the clearest geographic reference point for the borough.

Canadochly Elementary School is in East Prospect, and the borough belongs to Eastern York School District. Municipal business stays visible at the same small scale: council meetings, permits, streets and sidewalks, stormwater, refuse and recycling, and special events all appear on the borough's current service list. The borough scheduled an EP 250th Celebration for July 2026. For a newcomer, East Prospect is easiest to picture as a Susquehanna-side borough where school, council business, and neighborhood events sit close together, while the river and Lower Windsor Township set the larger frame.
