About Economy

Economy is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, situated within the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Originally established in 1827 as a township, the community was named after the historic village built by the Harmony Society on the banks of the Ohio River in nearby Ambridge. The township was incorporated as a borough in 1957 to protect its boundaries from annexation, and local students are served by the Ambridge Area School District.
