About Eden Valley
Eden Valley is a Meeker and Stearns county city at the intersection of Minnesota Highways 22 and 55. The 2020 census counted 1,027 residents. Most of the city lies in Meeker County, with the northern edge in Stearns County and the Sauk River watershed around it. Eden Valley-Watkins School District, city water and sewer, streets and public works, police, fire and rescue, and local shops give the town a practical center.
The city was platted in 1886 and has had a post office since 1887. Highway 22 runs north toward Richmond and south toward Litchfield, while Highway 55 leads east to Kimball and west toward Paynesville. That road network carries farm traffic, school buses, and trips between the two counties. Community education and city events add a local calendar around the school and downtown, and the watershed keeps the town tied to the wider Sauk River country. Eden Valley is a two-county Minnesota city with a school, highway, and municipal-services map that is easy to feel on the ground.
