Eielson AFB, AK

Eielson AFB is a military census-designated place southeast of Fairbanks, built around Eielson Air Force Base. The base began in 1943 as Mile 26 Satellite Field and was renamed in 1948 for Alaska aviation pioneer Carl Ben Eielson.
