El Verano, CA

El Verano is a census-designated place in the scenic Sonoma Valley of Sonoma County, California, serving as a western residential suburb of the city of Sonoma. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the community of approximately 3,400 was a popular health resort destination for tourists from San Francisco, who visited for the area's natural geothermic springs. Today, public education in the neighborhood is administered by the Sonoma Valley Unified School District.
