About Elloree
Elloree is an Orangeburg County town at the overlap of SC 6 and SC 267, with SC 47 ending at its northern edge. The Elloree Heritage Museum turns the town's rural past into a walk-through map, with recreated 1900-era stores, bank, and hotel alongside a cotton gin and an eighteenth-century cabin. The museum presents the name Elloree as a Native American word translated as "The Home I Love," while Trinity Lutheran Church, built in 1914, remains on the National Register. Elloree is a small town where cotton, church, museum, and crossroads still make up the strongest local landmarks.
