Ellsworth is a city and the county seat of Hancock County, Maine, situated along the Union River near Acadia National Park. Named in honor of Founding Father Oliver Ellsworth, the historic community of approximately 8,657 serves as a commercial hub for the surrounding Down East coastal region.
