About Eloy
Eloy is a Pinal County city between Phoenix and Tucson, about 50 miles northwest of Tucson and 65 miles southeast of Phoenix. Its early story is tied to the Southern Pacific Railroad, when boxcars were used as a camp for workers laying track in 1880. Today Eloy is best known for Skydive Arizona, billed as the world's largest skydiving drop zone, which gives the city a surprisingly distinct identity. Picacho Peak and the desert interstate corridor help frame the setting.
