Elwood, NY

Elwood is a Suffolk County hamlet and census-designated place in the Town of Huntington on Long Island. It was historically known as Northern Dix Hills and once had its own post office, but today it is mostly residential and school-centered. The hamlet is primarily served by the Elwood Union Free School District, and local roads such as Jericho Turnpike, Elwood Road, Cuba Hill Road, and Park Avenue tie it into the surrounding Huntington and Northport area.
