Emet, OK

Tucked away in Johnston County, Emet is a quiet rural community with deep roots in Chickasaw history. As one of the area's earliest settlements, it grew around the historic Chickasaw Council House and Pleasant Grove Mission in the mid-19th century. Today, it remains a peaceful country hamlet of fewer than a hundred residents, offering wide-open space just a short drive from the dining, shops, and outdoor recreation in nearby Tishomingo.
