Emmetsburg, IA

Emmetsburg sits along the southern shores of Five Island Lake in northwest Iowa, offering an easygoing small-town rhythm with a distinctive personality. Founded by Irish immigrants in the mid-1800s and named for patriot Robert Emmet, the town still celebrates its heritage in a big way. Every March, thousands gather for a massive, week-long St. Patrick’s Day festival featuring parades, pageants, and family reunions. The rest of the year, daily life revolves around a classic downtown square, the historic county courthouse, and quiet neighborhoods.
