Encinal, TX

Encinal is a small, quiet community in La Salle County, set in the open ranch country of South Texas. With around 550 residents, the town sits right along Interstate 35, roughly midway between Cotulla and Laredo. Its name comes from the Spanish word for an oak grove, dating back to its early days as a railroad and cattle stop. Today, the area offers plenty of wide-open space, low-key living, and a classic brush country landscape.
