About Eolia

Eolia is a village in Pike County, Missouri, United States. The 2020 census counted 472 residents. Eolia was platted in 1881 along the railroad line. The community was named for Aeolus, the ruler of winds in Greek mythology, because the day on which the surveying was done was one of the windiest the surveyor had ever seen. The through line in Eolia is the way its history and present-day settings remain visible on the same map. Eolia makes the most sense through those concrete details, with its history still visible in the settings people use today. Eolia is located along US Route 61 one half mile north of the Pike- Lincoln county line. Eolia includes a historic district.
