About Esto

Esto is a town in Holmes County, Florida, United States. The 2020 census counted 341 residents. Esto is located on the Florida Panhandle in North Florida. Esto is bordered to the north by the state of Alabama and to the east by Noma, Florida. Since 1987, the Two-Toed Tom Festival has been held annually in the town. The theme of the festival is in remembrance of an infamous, 18-foot alligator from the early 1900s that was known to kill farmers' livestock as well as humans. That mix gives Esto a clear local shape within Florida, with older layers still visible in current places. The local scoop is a place whose streets, landmarks, and institutions keep its earlier story close to the present.
