Eufaula, AL

Eufaula is the largest city in Barbour County, sitting on the Chattahoochee River at the Georgia line across from Georgetown. The site was historically occupied by Muscogee Creek communities, including the Eufaulas. Today the city's strongest visual identity is historic preservation: the Seth Lore and Irwinton Historic District includes hundreds of contributing properties and is one of Alabama's largest historic districts. Eufaula feels like a river city with deep Southern architecture, border geography, and a strong old-town presence.
